Vision system for Dent Inspection of Brake Pistons-

  1. Brake piston is typically Aluminum Extruded cylinder with super finished diameter.
  2. Brake acts like piston in Brake cylinder applying hydraulic pressure to brake calipers, hence a critical safety item.
  3. Dents on piston surface cause seal breakage & loss of pressure leading to loss of braking power.
  4. Vision system rotates piston on Indexer, with Camera capturing multiple images during rotation.
  5. Image processing software running on Computer Auto-Detects Dents on Piston Area and Report is generated.
